The glass bridge is located in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon area, Hunan Province of China. It’s a bridge for landscape seeing, scenic pedestrian passage, tour, bungee jumping, cable, T station and other functions. The glass bridge was completed by the end of June 2016 and passed the safety test, and on August 20th, it’s officially opened. Total length of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is 430 meters, with bridge length of 375 meters and 6 meters wide, across the canyon. There are about 300 meters from the bridge to the bottom of canyon. It’s the longest and highest full clear glass bridge in the world. The glass used on the bridge is 3 layers laminated glass, and also with anti-slip tempered glass paving on the surface. There are total 99 pieces of 48.56mm sandwich glass of size 3050mm X 4420mm. It allows more than 800 people to stand on the bridge at the same time and it’s still safe when the off-road vehicle of 2000 kilogram grind up and down. What’s more, when 20 people smash the glass with the hammer, though the glass is cracked, it’s still safe.
