5mm light blue tempered glass is also called 5mm light blue toughened glass, 5mm ford blue tempered glass, 5mm ford blue toughened glass, etc. It’s made of 5mm light blue float glass , produced by cutting the 5mm light blue float glass into customized size and cold treatment processing such as grinding edge or drilling holes, etc. And then let the glass pass into tempered furnace, which the temperature is nearly glass softening point of 700 degrees, then cooled rapidly. After being tempered, the glass sheets would be about 4~5 times harder than before. Compared to anneal glass, 5mm light blue tempered glass is more secure, because when it’s broken, the glass sheet will become small particles with blunt edges. So that it can reduce the injury to people.
Please note that tempered glass can not be cut any more, even grinding edges, or other processing. Thus all design details of toughened glass must be confirmed before mass production. Like edge polishing, drilling holes, cut outs, etc.
