Toughened glass is deep processed glass by heating float glass to temperature of 600-650℃ near glass softening point with rapid cooling or chemical tempering. Toughened glass has good mechanical properties, heat resistance and impact resistance, also known as tempered glass. After processing, the glass surface has uniform compressive stress. The strength of tempered glass is 3 - 10 times than good annealing float glass. The impact resistance is greatly improved as well. Tempered glass become mesh cracks after broken or produce small particles, will not hurt human. It is also known as safety glass. Tempered glass thermal impact performance is very good, the maximum safe working temperature is 287.78℃ and can withstand the temperature difference of 204.44℃. It can be used to manufacture observation window of high-temperature furnace doors, radiant gas heaters and dryers.
