Tempered Glass for Padel Court

10mm 12mm toughened and/or tempered glass are types of safety glass with increased strength both physically and thermally. Processed in our state of the art toughening plant and heated up to 680 degrees depending on the thickness the toughening will create ‘balanced internal stresses’ which would mean that temppered glass is much stronger than normal float glass and even if broken the glass would crumble into small, less harmful pieces as opposed to dangerous large shards. Such properties mean that toughened glass is suitable for use in padel court.

Laminated Glass for Padel Court

13.52mm laminated glass is constructed of two plies of 6mm tempered glass which are bonded together with interlayers of 1.52mm PVB to form a permanent bond. The interlayers work to support and hold the glass to create a strong, uniformed layer even when broken. The PVB film can prevent laminated glass from shattering, it is strategically placed between the layers of glass sheets.  This binding inner layer ensures that the glass pieces stay bonded during a possible breakage.  This also guarantees that the broken glass doesn’t jut out in sharp jagged pieces.  This technology is the very trick that lies behind the classic ‘spider web break’ that we often see.
