6mm Digital printed glass also called 6mm digital ceramic printing glass, is the technological development use for the application of imagery, pattern or text onto the surface of 5mm flat glass. Like other printing glass methods, digital printing glass uses a form of printmaking. Digital printing glass is more suited to smaller orders when need a range of colors and customization, but not on light colored materials unless the digital printer is capable of using white ink, which many are not due to the expense. The digital printing glass is not as durable as screen printing glass and each unit cost just remains static, so digital printing is not the best choice in every scenario.
Screen printing glass is more suited to high quality, professional looking prints. It isn’t recommended for photographic prints however, and is more suited to bulk orders with low customization/colors.
