Physical toughened glass and chemical toughened glass are both called toughened glass, they are used in different industry, but only physical toughened glass is safety glass.

Physical tempered glass is heated to 650-700℃ then cooled rapidly, to change the physical featurers of the internal of glass. Chemical tempered glass is put glass into special chemical liquid, no heaten the glass in high temperature.

Difference:
1.heat treatment: physical tempered glass heated in high temperaturer, but chemical tempered glass no need high temperature treatment.
2.Thickness: physical tempered glass mainly in thickness of 6mm-19mm. Chemical tempered glass is focus on thickness less than 3mm.
3. Strength: Phisical toughened glass is 5 times stronger than annealed glass. Chemical toughened glass technique apply to thin glass only, like thickness 3mm or thinner.
4. Curve shape: chemical toughened curved glass also called hot bend glass, it let glass shape much more flexible than physical curved tempered glass. It can be straight angle or wave shape.
5. Broken glass: chemical tempered glass shattered to several pieces with sharp edge. Physical tempered glass shattered to thousands of small glass fragments with rough edge.
6. Application: Chemical tempered glass is mainly used for furniture and electric products. Physical tempered glass is mainly used for construction.
