PDLC smart film also called switchable privacy Film, LC Film, switchable smart film, privacy glass film, magic glass film, electronic film, smart tint film, etc…
It is capable of adjusting light transmission between transparent and opaque using AC power. Applied for making laminated smart glass by lamination on glass interlayer, or stick on architecture existing glass surface, such as window, door, bathroom, partition wall etc. to get a instant privacy on demand. It gets many functions, such as light adjustment, UV and infrared blocking, advertising and secutirty.
Glass with PDLC film will become vaporous due to the disordered arrangement of liquid crystal molecules after turning off the power. On the contrary, when the power is on, neatly organized molecules will make smart film present transparency.
Types of PDLC Smart Film
According to different installation ways, PDLC film can be divided into self-adhesive pdlc film and non-adhesive pdlc film. Self-adhesive pdlc film can be easily stick on any existing glass penal surface with glue coating on one side of film. Non-adhesive pdlc film generally used for processing switchable laminated glass, laminated in middle of two glass panel with an EVA interlayer.
According to different colors and pattern, PDLC film can be divided into frosted, printed colors, like blue, green, yellow, gray, brown, pink, red etc. and printed any customize pattern, depend on customer’s demand.
