24mm heat strengthened insulated glass is made up of 6+6mm two half tempered glass +12mm air spacer and aluminum frame sealed together at the edge. The insulating airspace is filled with dry air or a noble gas, such as argon or krypton inside to slow the heat exchange and reduce noise levels.
What’s 6mm heat strengthened glass ?
Heat-strengthened (HS) Glass is also as referred as half tempered glass, it is different from heat Soak Test (HST) Glass and tempered Glass (Full Tempered Glass/ Toughened Glass).
The production procedure of Heat Strengthen Glass is customized product and similar to tempered Glass, but the time of heating and cooling cycle are longer than tempered glass. As HS glass have been treated by heating and cooling cycle, they are about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same thickness and configuration.Insulating glass, especially that combined with solar control coated glass and Low-E coated glass, provides a sound solution.
